A federal bank regulator has issued an enforcement action against a Tonganoxie bank that is exiting the Wichita area.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said today it issued the First State Bank and Trust of Tonganoxie a consent order in November.
The order sets forth a number of actions the bank must take, including the charge off and reduction of risky loans and other assets as well as the maintenance of an allowance for loan losses.
The bank closed its Wichita branch at 11931 W. Central in May. In December, First State said it was selling its only other area branch, in Clearwater, to Emprise Bank.
