McPherson plant receives state training grant

The Kansas Department of Commerce has provided plastic extrusion equipment maker American Maplan Corp. in McPherson with $8,400 in job training funds for 14 new employees.

AMC will provide additional matching funds of more than $93,000.

AMC is a member of the Battenfeld-Cincinnati group and has operated in Kansas since 1977. The company supplies plastic extrusion equipment for the international market.

The Department of Commerce's Kansas Industrial Training program assists firms involved in classroom or on-the-job training.
