Delloma can sum up his job in a couple of sentences.
"I oversee a branch and we're a sales and service office," he said. "We make sales and then we go out and install for the businesses and homes here. Every facet of that."
That clear focus probably comes from a decade in the alarm business, mostly working with ADT, another large provider.
Delloma, 41, grew up in Pennsylvania and later moved with his family to Missouri. He worked there and in Peoria, Ill., before coming to Wichita five weeks ago. He oversees a staff of 18 technicians, salespeople and office staff.
The branch office is at First and Market and is separate from Protection 1's big call center on Waterman. But Delloma said the latter facility is part of what lured him here.
"They're doing some real innovative things in the call center," he said. "They've removed the automatic attendant and answer in one ring. I think we can build a very good business off of that."
Delloma and his wife have two daughters. Outside work, he like to spend time with them, root for the Kansas City Chiefs, crank out tunes on an electric guitar and occasionally play video games.
"That's a habit I haven't been able to break," he said.
