Kansas Technology Enterprise Corp. officials say they've provided millions of dollars of investment and helped to retain and add hundreds of jobs in Sedgwick County.
That was the message delivered by KTEC CEO Kevin Carr at the group's Innovation Breakfast Fair held today at the National Center for Aviation Training.
Carr said KTEC has invested $4.7 million in the county between fiscal years 2008 and 2010. Its network has created or retained 643 jobs and assisted 139 companies.
The breakfast featured area entrepreneurs who have benefited from assistance through the KTEC network, including direct equity investments, research, business and manufacturing assistance and angel capital and angel tax credits.
