Spirit AeroSystems to open sales office in Ireland

Spirit AeroSystems announced today that it will open an international sales office to support demand for spare parts.

Spirit will open an office in Shannon, Ireland, to service customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, it said.

"We believe that the global expansion of our sales force takes Spirit another step closer toward the execution of our aftermarket growth strategy," said Carolyn Harms, vice president and general manager of Spirit's aftermarket customer support.

Spirit also announced today that it has signed a spare parts agreement with British Airways.

Spirit will supply thrust reverser, fuselage and wing components for BA's fleet of Boeing aircraft. It is a five-year agreement.
