About 60 percent of the corn crop had been harvested in south central Kansas as of Saturday, while the rest had reached maturity, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Nearly 30 percent of grain sorghum in south central Kansas had been harvested, while a third was mature.
Forty percent of soybean plants south central Kansas had dropped their leaves.
And nearly 10 percent of the winter wheat crop in central Kansas had been planted.
