The Wichita Business Coalition on Health Care today announced it has received the John J. Mahoney, M.D., Award for Community Health Value Innovation, which includes a $10,000 grant.
It was one of five organizations across the country to receive the award.
The award was made by the Center for Health Value Innovation. Selection was based on the ability to measure and report outcomes, and gauge improvements in the community health and economic status.
"This grant will support our efforts in developing and implementing community programs that show promise and innovation in the face of the many challenges to community health improvement," said Ron Whiting, executive director of the coalition, in a news release.
