Wichita businessman Les Eck closed today on the purchase of the Riverside Airport in northwest Wichita.
Eck paid $1.65 million at auction June 3 for the airport, which has been owned by the Sanders family for more than 60 years. The auction drew more than 100 attendees with 19 registered bidders. Eck's bid was $8,250 per acre.
McCurdy Auction of Wichita handled the sale. The company specializes in real estate with licensed real estate brokers an auctioneers in Kansas and Oklahoma.
