A webinar Aug. 20 is designed to help poultry and livestock producers learn about a new assessment tool that can help them reduce air emissions.
The National Air Quality Assessment Tool and can be found at naqsat.tamu.edu. It addresses eight concerns that relate to air emissions: animals and housing, feed and water, collection and transfer of manure, manure storage, land application, mortalities, on-farm records and public perception.
The webinar, which begins at 1:30 p.m., is being hosted by the Livestock and Poultry Environmental Learning Center, a part of eXtension, an educational partnership of land grant universities, including Kansas State University Research and Extension..
