Wichita home prices in May rose one-tenth of 1 percent above those of May 2009, according to real estate data firm CoreLogic.
That's not much, but it surpasses the dip recorded in April, when prices were down 1.23 percent from the prior April.
Excluding distressed transactions sales such as short sales, the Wichita area's May increase was 1.09 percent over last year.
The nation saw its fourth straight year-over-year increase, at 2.9 percent in May and 3.5 percent in April.
