The Kansas Academy of Family Physicians has signed a business-affiliation agreement with Welch Allyn to provide its members help in selecting and preparing for an electronic health record system.
Welch Allyn is a manufacturer of medical products and solutions.
The two will introduce the new EHR Prep-Select service to the Wichita-based academy's members. The professional consulting program guides physician practices through the EHR preparation and selection process.
The Kansas Academy of Family Physicians and Welch Allyn also will collaborate on a number of marketing initiatives to introduce and educate family physicians on the value of the new program.

In addition, the Kansas Foundation for Medical Care in Topeka is one of 60 Regional Extension Centers across the country, which are designated to offer technical assistance, guidance and information on best practices.
