KU medical school in top 10 for family medicine docs

The University of Kansas School of Medicine, which has campuses in Kansas City and Wichita, has been recognized by the American Academy of Family Physicians as one of the top 10 medical schools in the nation for producing family medicine physicians.

On the basis of a three-year average, 16.6 percent of KU School of Medicine graduates entered an academy-accredited family medicine residency program. "This contribution is important to the specialty and, more importantly, to the health of all Americans," the academy said.
