Gov. Mark Parkinson today signed the historic tax credit bill that allows the developers of historic properties to claim tax credits to offset some costs.
The program was cut more deeply last year than state officials first realized as part of an overall money-saving effort.
The restored program allows a $26 million renovation of the Broadview Hotel in downtown Wichita to proceed. The hotel was to close today and reopen in eight to 12 months as the Drury Plaza Broadview Hotel.
