The state's solid waste management plan, a tour of Fort Riley's material recycling facility and Kansas City's Ripple Glass Recycling effort that converts Boulevard Brewery and other glass into insulation are among the topics for the 16th annual Works! Conference, sponsored by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The conference, March 23-25 in Junction City, is geared toward public employees, businesses and other community members. The agenda includes training sessions, facility tours and equipment demonstrations.
