Two events are scheduled this week as a downtown Wichita redevelopment master plan takes shape.
Jim Cloar, who has implemented similar plans in St. Louis, Dallas and Tampa, Fla., will give the 2010 Wichita Downtown Development Corp. Annual Lecture at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Scottish Rite Temple, 332 E. First St.
A question and answer session with Cloar and Goody Clancy, the city's downtown redevelopment consultant, will follow the lecture.
Then on Saturday, the public will help shape that redevelopment vision through a hands-on design event that begins at 9 a.m. at the Wichita Art Museum, 1400 W. Museum Blvd. An open house highlighting the day's results begins at 4 p.m.
