Twenty-five Boeing Wichita employees got layoff notices today, company spokesman Jarrod Bartlett said.
In all, Boeing sent notices to more than 1,000 employees Friday.
Most of them, including 22 in Wichita, are part of the 10,000 job cuts Boeing originally targeted for 2009. Late last year it said it would meet and then exceed that goal of 10,000 job cuts during 2010.
Three of the Wichita employees are part of a planned reduction of 800 employees at Boeing Wichita announced in November 2008.
