Aircraft exports up, others down

U.S. exports of civilian aircraft were down in November from the same month in 2008, but exports during the first 11 months of the year remain well above 2008 levels.

Exports of civilian aircraft were $28.6 billion through November, up 10.6 percent for the year.

Other exports of local interest were down: agricultural machinery by 41.3 percent; aircraft parts by 10.9 percent; wheat by 53.1 percent; corn by 34.5 percent; and meat by 11.3 percent.
