Blankenbiller quits as Kansas Chamber president

Amy Blankenbiller left her post as president of the Kansas Chamber today to pursue other business opportunities, according to a news release.

Blankenbiller had been president since 2007.

Kent Beisner, vice president for membership and sales for the Kansas Chamber, will be the interim president.

Prior to working at the Chamber, Beisner was vice president and general manager of V&M Distributing in Colby from 1976 to 1989 and vice president and general manager of Jayhawk Beverage in Topeka, Lawrence and Emporia from 1989 to 2008.

In addition, he is a graduate of Leadership Kansas, the Kansas Chamber's leadership program.
