The results of an equipment sale this week at Kamen Recycling came in at about half of original estimates, owner Sheldon Kamen said Wednesday.
The sale of old recycling equipment and land yielded $384,500, Kamen said, less than the $750,000 he anticipated.
The sale comes as Kamen Recycling upgrades its equipment and consolidates its land holdings. The 113-year-old business plans to grow its customer base, Kamen said.
