WICHITA — The Kansas Department of Labor will present Valassis Wichita with Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program certification Tuesday.
The certification, which is administered by the labor department in conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, frees a company from regularly scheduled OSHA inspections for up to two years.
"Receiving the SHARP recognition is a complete validation of all of the years of hard work and efforts Valassis Wichita employees put into our safety program," Mike Wood, senior vice president of manufacturing for Valassis, said in a news release.
