Carroll student wins WSU Barton Scholarship

Blake Krier, a senior at Bishop Carroll, has won Wichita State University's Clay Barton Scholarship in Business.

Krier will receive $11,000 per year for four years, the biggest business scholarship in the state. High school seniors from across Kansas competed for the scholarship in the Allen, Gibbs & Houlik Scholarship Competition last month.

The Barton scholarship was established in 1991, named after the son of the late Rent-A-Center chairman emeritus W. Frank Barton, for whom WSU's business school is named.
