Colwich-based ethanol plant management company ICM has been running double shifts since last week in order to retrofit an ethanol plant just west of Casselton, N.D.
The company is working to get the project completed for Tharaldson Ethanol by Feb. 1. The one-year-old plant hasn't been operating to capacity.
ICM has 80 people working on days and 40 more on nights to squeeze what would normally be a 10 month project into four months.
The work helps stabilize ICM, which has had a sharp drop off in demand for its services in the last year as the ethanol industry struggles with production over capacity.
