Ag profitability conferences to begin soon

Kansas State University Research and Extension will host 11 K-State Ag Profitability conferences beginning in early December, with the first set for Dec. 8 in Wichita.

Michael Scuse, USDA undersecretary for farm and foreign agricultural services, will be the keynote speaker at that session, which will begin at 8 a.m. in 4-H Hall at the extension office, 7001 W. 21st St.

Conference speakers and topics will vary slightly from one location to the next, but all are focused on helping Kansas agricultural producers improve their financial situation, said Gary Kramer, agricultural and natural resources agent for Sedgwick County.
