The early registration deadline is Wednesday for the 2009 Kansas Water Issues Forum, which will focus on the role of climate change and waterinthe state's future.
The program will examine related economic impacts for cities, industry and agriculture, as well as climate's potential effects on state water resources.
The forum will be held in Wichita on Dec. 9 and in Hays, with slight modifications, the next day. At both sites, it will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
In Wichita, it will be at the Sedgwick County Extension Center, at 21st Street and Ridge Road.
The registration fee is $10, which includes lunch, breaks and materials. Registration after that is $15, on a space-available basis. To register, go to www.kwo.org.
