The 2010 Department of Defense Appropriations bill passed Wednesday by the U.S. Senate contains several Wichita-related projects.
* $6 million for Boeing to develop B-52 tactical data link capability.
* $4 million for Hawker Beechcraft for a AT-6B capabilities demonstration for the Kansas Air National Guard.
* $3 million for the Plastic Fab division of Kaman Aerospace Corp. for composite small main rotor blades.
* $3 million for Wichita State University and Miltec Research and Technology in Mississippi for materials integrity management research for the Air Force.
