WICHITA -- While cool weather has slowed the ripening process, about half of the Sedgwick County's corn crop had been harvested going into this week, said county extension agent Gary Cramer
In addition, Cramer said 30 to 35 percent of the county's soybeans had been harvested.
For the state, 31 percent of the corn has been harvested, according to the Kansas Agricultural Statistic Service report. Eighteen percent of the soybeans have been harvested.
Dry weather has helped fall wheat planting with 53 percent of the crop planted.
