Laid off now can access state computers

WICHITA -- Kansans who don't have Internet access can now file unemployment forms online and seek help at the computers at the Wichita Workforce Center.

The computers at the center, 150 N. Main, can help claimants file online applications, update personal information and file weekly claims.

The state will continue to provide such access to people with Internet access at home.

The effort is aimed at encouraging people to go online rather than call the department's contact center.
