Three teens trying to steal an 70-year-old man's Jeep on Friday afternoon were foiled by a neighbor who dialed 911.
Wichita police Sgt. Ron Hunt said the neighbor saw the trio walk around a home in the 1800 block of South Chautauqua around noon then push the parked Jeep into the street.
"But they could not get it started," Hunt said.
"She (the neighbor) continued to watch the suspects and called 911."

The man who owns the Jeep was not at home at the time, Hunt said. His address is near Hillside and George Washington Boulevard.
The teens ran away when officers arrived, Hunt said, but were caught after a brief foot chase. Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested in connection with the theft attempt, he said.
"It looks like there may have been a hidden kill switch on the vehicle, which is why they couldn't get it started," Hunt said.
