It’ll be a windy morning in the Wichita metropolitan area Thursday, forecasters say, but as the temperatures climb the winds will ease.
Highs will reach the upper 40s under partly sunny skies. South winds will be in the upper teens and 20s early, with gusts approaching 40 miles an hour at times, forecasters say. Later in the day, however, the winds will ease to the single digits.
Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with lows in the mid-20s. Winds will shift to the north, gusting to more than 25 miles an hour at times.
Friday will be chilly, forecasters say, with highs only reaching the low 30s. North winds will be in the teens under cloudy skies, again gusting to more than 25 miles an hour at times.
