Presidential scholar to speak at Wichita State

Wichita State University is inviting the public to attend a lecture Wednesday on President Calvin Coolidge by presidential scholar Jerry Wallace.

Wallace, a resident of Oxford, is a retired archivist for the National Archives in Washington and a trustee and national advisory council member for the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation.

Wallace has written extensively on presidential history, particularly Coolidge, and is the author of “Calvin Coolidge: Our First Radio President.”

His presentation is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Corbin Education Center, Room 157, on the main campus of the university, 1845 Fairmount.

The Corbin building is a distinctive Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structure on the north side of the campus near the intersection of 21st Street North and Yale.
