The morning commute could be a challenge in the Wichita metropolitan area, forecasters say, thanks to patchy dense fog that could last most of the morning.
Once the fog burns off, temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-80s under mostly cloudy skies. Southerly breezes will intensify today, forecasters say, with steady winds in the teens and gusts flirting with 30 miles an hour.
Lows tonight will only dip into the upper 60s, with south-southeast winds gusting into the mid-20s. Thursday will be toasty for October, forecasters say, with highs in the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
