Police arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with a drive-by shooting Wednesday night in Wichita.
A man told police he was on the front porch of his house in the 1000 block of North Piatt at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when someone he knew drove by and fired shots at him. That’s located just east of I-135 and next to Ninth Street.
One of the bullets penetrated a wall of the house, Lt. Steve Kenney said. Neither the 53-year-old man nor a 50-year-old woman inside the house were hurt.
The man on the porch told officers he knew who fired the shots, and officers went to the suspect’s house on South Mission and found him. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail after being questioned, Kenney said.
