Decriminalizing marijuana to be topic of presentation and debate at Wichita State

Anyone interested in debating whether marijuana should be decriminalized can do so at a presentation at Wichita State University on Thursday.

Jack Cole is retired DEA agent and the chairman and co-founder of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, the university said in a written statement. His group advocates the decriminalization of marijuana, and he’ll speak at 11 a.m. in 128 Jabara Hall, the university said.

Anyone from the general university community is invited to debate at the presentation, the university said. The meeting will be in a large room to allow many interested people to attend.

Joint sponsors are the Political Science Club and Professor Mel Kahn’s American Politics course, the university said.
