Envision announced Thursday that it will re-name its year-round program for blind or low-vision adults who have additional disabilities “PRIDE”, which stands for “People Reaching for Independence and the Development of Excellence.”
The program offers activities such as vocational training, physical education, orientation and mobility training, and Braille and art instruction. The goal is to make participants as independent as possible and help them reach their full potential. More than 40 people are enrolled in the program.
The announcement was made at an open house for participants, parents and caregivers at Envision Inc., 2301 S. Water.
