Police seek information on stabbing near Indian Center

Police are seeking information in a stabbing they say occurred in Wichita before 7:43 p.m. Saturday.

At that time a passerby called 911, bringing Wichita police to the Central bridge near Seneca. They found a man with blood all over his shirt and wounds in his torso, said Lt. Doug Nolte.

The man, 51, was taken to Via Christi on St. Francis. He had “a lot to drink,” was uncooperative, and said he got hurt in a fall, Nolte said. He was in critical condition at the hospital, Nolte said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, Nolte said.
