As wet and relatively cool as it has been this year, August can’t say so long without flexing its muscles just a little bit in the Wichita area.
The next few days will definitely resemble textbook August weather, forecasters say, with highs in the mid-90s under sunny skies. Southerly winds will be in the teens, gusting to nearly 25 miles an hour at times.
Overnight lows tonight will be in the low 70s, with winds easing to the single digits to low teens.
Wednesday will be sunny and hot as well, forecasters say, with highs in the mid-90s. Highs will creep into the upper 90s through the rest of the week.
