A warm, sunny day is in the forecast for the Wichita area today.
Highs should climb into the low 90s under plenty of sunshine, forecasters say. Winds will pick up compared to the past few days, though. Southerly winds in the teens will gust beyond 25 miles an hour.
Overnight lows under mostly clear skies will dip to the low 70s, though southerly winds won’t lose much pep after sunset.
Friday is projected to be sunny and hot, forecasters say, with highs in the mid-90s. Clouds will be moving in, however, and chances for rain return Friday night and persist through the weekend.
