Baseball memorabilia on display before silent auction starts Friday at Kansas Star Casino

The Kansas Star Casino will hold a silent auction of baseball memorabilia Friday through Sunday to celebrate next week’s Major League All-Star Game. Some of the proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Kansas.

Among the more than 50 items to be auctioned are a Yogi Berra and Don Larsen two-baseball set commemorating Larsen’s 1956 World Series perfect game, a baseball signed by Kansas City Royals great George Brett, and a jersey signed by Sandy Koufax.

Bidding begins at noon Friday and will be open until 5 p.m. Sunday. The items are on display on the floor of the casino, which is located at the Mulvane exit on the Kansas Turnpike.

Bidders must be 21 or older. People enrolled in the Voluntary Exclusion Program are not eligible.
