Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland recently announced Wichita State graduate Liz Workman will take over as CEO of the organization.
Former CEO Shelly Prichard left the organization in October to take a position as president and CEO of the Wichita Community Foundation. In the interim, the organization’s Chief Stategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer Marlo Dolezal filled the position for eight months while the Girl Scouts board searched for a new CEO.
Workman received her bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and her master’s at Boston University. She is fluent in Spanish, according to a news release from the organization.
She most recently served as executive director of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation.
