A Family Dollar cashier refused a gunman’s demands to open her cash register Sunday afternoon in the 3000 block of Prospect Avenue.
The gunman then tucked his gun into his waistband and said, “I’ll be back,” before leaving the store, according to police reports.
Witnesses noticed the robber had been walking the aisles in the store for about five minutes before donning gloves and sunglasses about 2 p.m.
He approached the cashier, pulled a gun and said, “Open it!”
