Positive Aging Day planned for June 18

The annual Positive Aging Day will take place at the Sedgwick County Extension Center from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 18.

The event is for seniors, caregivers, aging professionals and students. The event will include guest speaker and longtime politician Rip Gooch.

The day’s topics include staying at home, exercise, planning for long-term care, budgeting on a fixed income and VA benefits.

The cost is $10 per person, $15 per couple or family member, and $7 for students. In order to guarantee a boxed lunch, registration by June 12 is recommended.

The event is hosted by the Sedgwick County Extension Office, Central Plains Areas Agency on Aging and Wichita State University.
