H.O.P.E. Inc, a local faith-based nonprofit organization, will hold its 10th annual free Health and Wellness Fair in July, according to a news release.
Festivities will begin with a parade from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 6. The parade starts at 21st Street and Opportunity Drive, at the entrance of The Boys and Girls Club, and then heads east on 21st Street to Battin Street. Parade line up will be at 9:30 a.m.
The Health Fair will be from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the H.O.P.E. facility at 2137 N. Battin St. Health care providers will give free blood pressure checks and dental and vision screenings.
There will also be prizes, games, face painting, snacks, voter registration, food booths and artistic performances.
H.O.P.E. Inc was started in 1964 and focuses on social service projects, including affordable housing, prison ministry, domestic violence aid and job preparation.
