A 28-year-old offender wanted by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office for failing to register has been arrested and booked into jail, the office said in an e-mail Wednesday.
Jonathan M. Cerecero, 28, had been profiled as the Crime Stoppers “Registered Offender of the Week” on Monday, the news release said. Cerecero was arrested in Seward County on Tuesday and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail, where he is being held on a $110,000 bond.
KBI records show that Cerecero is on the state offender registry for a 2003 Stanton County conviction for the felony of attempted indecent liberties with a child. The victim was a 14-year-old girl.
