Two men have been booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to jail records.

The case number for the men listed on the records is the same one for the case involving Shawn Lindsey, whose body was found dumped Wednesday morning near K-96 and Hillside.

The two men, whose ages are listed as 37 and 31 on the booking report, were arrested Friday in Wichita. One was booked into jail shortly before midnight and the other shortly after midnight. They are each being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond.

Wichita police wouldn’t comment Saturday on the case involving Lindsey or the two bookings.

As of late last week, police officially were still classifying Lindsey’s death as “suspicious” and didn’t provide a definitive cause of death.

The body of the 34-year-old Lindsey was found shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday in some brush off 29th Street, about a half-mile west of Hillside, by surveyors driving by the area, police have said.

He had been dragged from the road into the woody area, police said.

Information on when, where and how he died has not been released by police.

Police say Lindsey lived in Wichita, though a 2012 voter registration database listed him with a Derby address.
