Traffic on Kellogg between Webb and Greenwich has reopened after downed power lines closed the thoroughfare Friday morning, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said.
Some of the traffic lights in the area may still be flashing, the dispatcher said, but power in the area has been restored. Eastbound and westbound lanes were blocked for about an hour. Kellogg was reopened about 11:30 a.m., according to dispatch.
A Westar Energy spokeswoman said about 1,200 customers in the area were out of power due to the downed lines. Power has been restored to customers in the area as of 12:45 p.m., according to an outage map on Westar’s website.
More than 3,000 customers countywide were without power just before 11 a.m., according to outage counts on Westar’s website. Fewer than 300 customers remain affected by the outages.
