Two women were hurt in a one-car crash in Butler County on Tuesday afternoon, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. on Southeast Bluestem Road, a half-mile south of Southeast 30th Street, southeast of El Dorado, according to the law enforcement agency.
Rachel Farr, 20, of Leon, was driving north on Bluestem when she became distracted and her Grand Am drifted off the road onto the east shoulder, the patrol said. Farr lost control of the car at that point and it struck a concrete culvert on the passenger side of the vehicle. The car then flipped over, landing on its roof in the east ditch, the highway patrol reported.
Farr, who was not wearing her seatbelt, was taken to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital with what KFDI radio reported as potentially serious injuries.
