Man sought in stabbing at Wichita liquor store

A 60-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach Monday during an altercation at a liquor store near 21st and Grove, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said.

The stabbing happened at shortly before 5 p.m. at The L.I.Q., 2330 E. 21st St., the dispatcher said. The victim, who reported being cut by a man in his mid-20s, left the store and called 911 from his nearby home, she said.

The 60-year-old man was transported by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center with critical wounds to his abdomen, according to the dispatcher. Early Monday evening, police were still looking for the suspect.
