The McCormick School Museum is undergoing a restoration project and will be closed until after Labor Day, Wichita school officials said.
The museum, 855 S. Martinson, will reopen Sept. 5. Operated by retired district employees, it features an exhibit showing an 1890s classroom, a replica of East High School’s 1923 science laboratory, photographs, archives and more.
It is open the second Sunday of the month from 2 to 5 p.m. and is available for group tours by appointment. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 316-721-2206 or e-mail email@example.com.
