Police are investigating a report that a man, who was shot at a south Wichita bar earlier this week, was threatened by a man who came to his hospital room Thursday.
The altercation occurred just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Wesley Medical Center, which then contacted police.
A man came to the room of the 29-year-old man who was shot in the chest in the parking lot of The Place bar at 4859 E. Harry, near Oliver, early on Tuesday morning, Lt. Doug Nolte said. The patient told the visitor he would need to go to the guest area, but the visitor became agitated and threatened to harm the patient.
He then left. Police aren’t sure what connection, if any, the visitor has to the shooting outside the bar, Nolte said. Detectives plan to talk to the patient today.
