Dog Days of Summer swim to benefit Kansas Humane Society

Dog Days of Summer, an annual swim for dogs that benefits the Kansas Humane Society, will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at College Hill Pool, 304 S. Circle Drive.

Dogs are invited to wade, paddle or dive and participate in contests like long jump, Frisbee catch and largest and smallest dog.

Owners can wade knee-deep with their dogs in the shallow end of the chlorine-free pool or let the dogs jump by themselves into the deep end, the city of Wichita’s website says.

Admission is a minimum donation of $10 per dog, with a limit of two dogs per owner. A large portion of the proceeds benefits the Kansas Humane Society.

All dogs must be leashed when not in the pool or participating in contests and must be current on all vaccinations, including rabies.
